On October 23, the '4th Digital Local Innovation Global Forum (Next Local AI: Platform Ecosystem for Local Innovation)' co-hosted by the Korea Local Information Development Institute and the Friedrich Naumann Foundation of Germany, supported by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, was held at the President Hotel in Seoul.

This forum aimed to discuss innovative models of local administration and global cooperation strategies led by AI and data, featuring key overseas experts from countries such as Germany and Taiwan, along with participants from the domestic academic and industry sectors.

Lawyer Shin emphasized that “Ahead of the implementation of the AI Basic Law, establishing a trust ecosystem based on public-private cooperation is more important than just the government's regulatory role” and stated that “AI governance should not only be about legislation, but it should be approached as a comprehensive framework encompassing industry, administration, and ethics.”
