Recently, surrounding the Fair Trade Commission's system of designating a single person (chief of a business group), interest in the corporate governance structure and management influence of business groups has been growing. In particular, discussions on the criteria for determining the single person are continuing regarding the shareholding relationship between Dunamu and Naver.
Attorney Kwang-shik Kim of the Law Firm Cheongchul explained, "Under the Fair Trade Act, the determination of a single person is not decided solely by simple shareholding ratios, but comprehensively considers substantial control and management influence." He also presented the opinion, "In a situation where investments and cooperative relationships between companies are expanding, the criteria for designating a single person also need to be reviewed more closely."
Detailed information can be found through the published full interview.
